sa·voir-faire [sav-wahr-fair] noun. knowledge of just what to do in any situation.
So THAT’S a tall order. But I like the idea that every situation deserves its own possibilities, and that’s why I started this blog. It’s more than just knowing which fork to use on which course – sometimes, it’s about not using the fork at all, which is why I like to think of it in terms of Savoir FLAIR.
Cooking, entertaining, dining out, travel…these are just a few of my favorite things….
Savoir Flair is written by, me, Jen Swanson. I work in events marketing for a local educational institution, but dream of having a job where I can cook good food for people who will eat it with relish, a job where I can throw smart parties with good conversation and even better cocktails, a job where I can write about food and cookbooks and travel and talk about what tastes good, what makes me feel good, and what makes the people I love happy and healthy. So until that job comes along, I have taken up Savoir Flair as an outlet for these pastimes. Enjoy!
Hi Jen,
I’ve tagged you for a meme, if you would like to play along.

Hey there –
Another fun link for your “Reading and Listening” section. There’s a show I’m listening to this evening called “A Chef’s Table”. It’s a public radio show all about… wait for it… Food! Surprise! Anyway, you can listen online to shows for free here: http://www.whyy.org/91FM/chef/. They are also available as a podcast subscription on Audible.com. Enjoy!
